We are proud to work in partnership with Sheffield Cancer Choir – the first choir of its kind in Sheffield.
Due to the current pandemic they are offering free online singing therapy to anyone affected by cancer.
Mindfulness is an invaluable relaxation technique delivered and taught by our specialist practitioner, Fran. Through practice, mindfulness can reduce stress and anxiety and aid relaxation of both the body and mind. Our sessions can be delivered on a one-to-one basis or as part of a group programme digitally.
Due to COVID-19 patients at Weston Park Hospital are no longer allowed visitors to reduce the risk of infection. For some patients that has meant that they have not been able to have any contact with loved ones.
During a time like this it is so important to stay connected, which is why we have purchased tablets for the wards to enable patients to have regular contact with loved ones to make this time easier.
We’ve delivered over £1,000 worth of hand moisturiser to the healthcare professionals, hospital staff, nurses and doctors who are working tirelessly to care for vulnerable patients at Weston Park Hospital. Our thanks go to our long-standing supporters, Pricecheck for the generous donation.
We’ve teamed up with staff at Weston Park Hospital to create a series of online guides to help reduce the number of times patients have to come to hospital so that we can help reduce the risk of catching and spreading COVID-19.
If you’re attending any of Weston Park’s treatment centres for Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy or Targeted Therapies you can now watch the orientation video online so you know what to expect.
We’ve also created some guidance about caring for your PICC line which you can watch here >
