Blythe House provides care for people affected by cancer and certain other life-threatening illnesses and supporting those who are bereaved.

Information and benefits advice, which can be in your own home.



Macmillan Readycall in the Derbyshire Dales

Readycall support people aged 60 and over, living in the Derbyshire Dales.  Support is available for people who are or have been affected by cancer or other life limiting conditions and those who care for them.

Assisted by trained volunteers, they provide befriending, shopping, practical support and subsidised transport for cancer related medical appointments.



Challenge Cancer Through Adventure

Challenge Cancer Through Adventure is a Peak District based charity run entirely by volunteers. They help people who are based in the region who are living with cancer or a life threatening illness to change their outlook, rebuild confidence and regain control of their lives by undertaking an outdoor adventure challenge.

A support group for men with prostate cancer, based in Blythe House.

Age UK Derby and Derbyshire

An information and advice service for everyone over 50 and their carers/families.  They also provide daytime activities, a health and wellbeing service and support services.



Gold Card for Derbyshire 

Gold Card is a travel, discount and library card for older people and people with certain disabilities.



Helen’s Trust

Help for people with terminal illness across North Derbyshire to remain at home.




Relationship counselling, sex therapy, children and young people’s counselling and family counselling.
