Construction Ball raises £30,500
The 18th Sheffield Charity Construction Ball raises £30,500 for Weston Park!
The annual Charity Ball on 19th October, organised by Arup, HLM Architects and Rider Levett Bucknall, this year selected Weston Park Cancer Charity as its recipient of the proceeds raised on the night.
Held this year at the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria, the proceeds will go directly to Weston Park, the region’s only specialist cancer hospital, providing care for thousands of patients across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire.
CEO of Weston Park Cancer Charity, Sam Dixon, commented; “I was delighted by the amount raised tonight, which will bring us closer to reaching our annual target of £2 million to improve the lives of those living with cancer. The generosity received by everyone on the night has been sensational.”
This year the Ball sold out in record time, with guests from the construction and building industry, and sponsors including Anderson Green, Eastwood & Partners, CMS, Sheffield Property Association and Vinci Construction.
The amount raised this year brings the running total of money raised to £266,000 raised for local charities since the first Ball was held in 2001.
