Funny Business

Funny Business

Thursday 30th November |  Memorial Hall, Sheffield City Hall

A brand new line-up of business figures in the spotlight, one great night of comedy for charity

Take a small group of high profile business leaders, add a few sessions of training with a mentor comedian and then put them on stage to perform a short comedy routine in front of a sell-out crowd. The result? One great night out!

Now in its 6th year, Funny Business has already raised over £125,000 for Weston Park Cancer Charity.

Hosted by Sheffield’s very own Alfie Moore (star of BBC Radio 4’s comedy ‘It’s a Fair Cop’) the hottest ticket in town includes these unique performances and entry into the Laughter Party. But be warned – tickets sell out fast so order yours to avoid missing out!

Compere

Alfie is an original and distinctive comedian with his niche area as a serving police sergeant.

He came slightly later to comedy and brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival!

Born and raised on a Sheffield council estate he was an apprentice in the steelworks before joining the Police. Alfie was inspired to take up stand-up comedy in 2007 after his first taste of live comedy at a local comedy club. He quickly became well and truly hooked and was soon performing regularly up and down the country, as well as fronting BBC Radio 4’s comedy show, ‘It’s a Fair Cop’.
