Owls back Team Weston Park ahead of the Sheffield 10K
The race returns to the steel city on Sunday 24th September after its debut year in 2016. The route will start and finish in the city centre, taking in Arundel Gate, Ecclesall Road and Endcliffe Vale Road close to the Botanical Gardens.
Owls academy product Palmer said: “We’re very happy to be supporting Weston Park, it’s a charity the club has worked closely with over the years.
“We’ve had the chance to see the facility during our Blue and White Christmas Day visits, so we know the great work that goes on there and how important it is to help that work continue and grow.”
Former Burnley man Jones added: “The money raised goes towards a brilliant cause and one that we have been fortunate enough to see for ourselves during our visits.
“The 10k is going to be a big event in the city, so it would be great to see people backing a fantastic local charity in Weston Park.”
Gemma Noon, Community Fundraiser at Weston Park Cancer Charity, said: “We are delighted that Sheffield Wednesday are supporting Team Weston Park at the Sheffield 10K. We are so grateful to everyone who is running for us and we will be there on the big day, to spur our supporters on!”
