About our committees

We have three sub-committees, which report into our Board of Trustees, these exist to provide focused governance and oversight across the charity’s core areas, including operations, services, and grant-making, to ensure the charity is well-run, financially sustainable, and delivers high-quality, impactful support in line with our strategic objectives.

Services Committee

The Services committee provides assurance to the Board of Trustees that all services provided by the Weston Park Cancer Charity are of high quality and that effective, robust governance systems and processes are in place.

Corporate Services Committee

The committee ensures the charity is well-governed, financially sustainable, and effectively manages its people and resources, while overseeing the development and delivery of its fundraising and income generation strategy.

Grant Giving Committee

The committee is responsible to the Board of Trustees for overseeing, developing, reviewing, and managing the charity’s portfolio of grants in line with its strategic objectives. It shapes the strategic direction of grant-giving to ensure alignment with the charity’s overall strategy.

Small Grant Committee

The Small Grant Committee have delegated authority from the Board of Trustees. They review all applications up to the value of £1,500 and makes the final decision on awarding funding. The committee members are all members of staff at the charity:
