AJ Bell Great North Run 2026

The world's biggest half marathon!

60,000 incredible participants run from the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields each year! From the rush of the Red Arrows flying overhead to the oggy-oggy-oggy chants, Great North Run magic can be hard to understand- until you’ve experienced it for yourself.

There are 2 ways in which you can run in support of Weston Park Cancer Charity:

1. Great North Run ballot

If you were lucky enough to be given a place for the run & would like to use it to support the charity, please get in touch with us via events@wpcancercharity.org.uk. We would be hugely grateful for your support and ensure you receive our support, as well as a free running top or vest!

2. Secure one of our limited charity places!

Following high demand from 2025; supporters interested in securing one of our places will be provided with an application form. To obtain this, please email events@wpcancercharity.org.uk.

Deadline to submit application form- Friday 30th January

Places allocated- w/c 2nd February

Requirements:

Registration fee- £50
Minimum fundraising target- £400

If you are successful in securing one of our charity places, the team will support you every step of the way!
