How legacy gifts change lives

Gifts in Wills fund a third of our life-saving work. During uncertain times, they protect our services so that we can continue to be there at every step for people living with cancer.

How legacy gifts change lives

Powering research

Since Weston Park Hospital opened in 1970, cancer survival rates have more than doubled. But we can’t stop there. Gifts in Wills enable us to invest in research which furthers our understanding of cancer. These donations also help us to run pioneering clinical trials, which uncover new ways to tackle cancer and provide vital hope for participants.

Providing support services

Our support services help people to cope with the emotional, physical, and practical impacts of cancer. A gift left in your Will could help to keep our advice line running, so that no one with cancer has to face their worries alone. It could pay for free exercise classes, a hardship grant, talking therapy or transport to appointments. Crucially, your kindness could help to alleviate stress and create a moment of calm for someone during an incredibly difficult time.

Enhancing treatments

Gifts left in Wills help us to improve hospital services across the region and enhance the facilities at Weston Park Cancer Centre. In practice, this could mean anything from refurbishing therapy suites to adding smart TVs to inpatient rooms. These small adjustments can make a big difference for people going through cancer treatment.

"Leaving a gift to Weston Park in memory of my father was so important to me and to be able to know we are contributing to such incredible work I know would mean a lot to him too"
