Having previously driven for Nenna Kind before the charity’s merger with Weston Park Cancer Charity, I was delighted to be back driving again in April 2021 after all services were closed due to the pandemic. In fact, I was the last person to drive for Nenna Kind before the pandemic stuck.

I have a deep connection to Weston Park Cancer Charity since my brother's care there 15 years ago. I recently retired ad started volunteering after discovering the charity's transport service on social media.

I began volunteering as a driver for Weston Park Cancer Charity in December 2021. My volunteer days are flexible, which suits my lifestyle. I chose to volunteer because I enjoy driving and supporting such a worthwhile cause.

My name is David Hodson. I began volunteering as a driver for Weston Park Cancer Charity in December 2022. My usual volunteer days are Fridays, but I sometimes volunteer on Tuesdays. I find the most rewarding part of volunteering is making a difference in patients' lives during a very difficult time.

My name is Kevin Birkinshaw. I started volunteering as a driver for Weston Park Cancer Charity in December 2021, coinciding with the launch of the Barnsley service. I volunteer because I like to help, and the most rewarding part is making the service users' journeys a little less stressful.

Christopher (Chris) Hector

After retiring from the Police in 2020, I, Christopher (Chris) Hector, dedicate my time to volunteering for Weston Park Cancer Charity. With a deep understanding of the challenges of hospital visits due to my family's experiences with cancer, I provide vital support as a driver. Outside of volunteering, I enjoy moments with my dogs, time with my grandchildren, and listening to rock music.

Geoff Bell

My name is Geoff Bell, and I’m a volunteer driver on the Rotherham Bus. I started as a volunteer driver at Weston Park Cancer Charity on August 19, 2022.  The most rewarding part of volunteering is the personal satisfaction I feel, knowing I have made a small difference in a patient’s day.

Zuleika Payne

My name is Zuleika Payne, and I started as a Volunteer Driver at Weston Park Cancer Charity in February 2024. The reason I volunteer my time is that my mother received excellent cancer treatment at Weston Park, and I wanted to give back. The most rewarding part of volunteering is having a sense of purpose and feeling useful.
