- People who have had a cancer diagnosis
- Their carers, family or friends

“Talking to a Buddy changed everything for me, it gave me hope and I realised I don’t have to face it alone”
Gary, former patient and current volunteer
What are the benefits?
People often find talking to someone who has lived experience more supportive and reassuring.
- Talk openly without worrying about someone else’s feelings
- Feeling less alone
- Having time to ask questions and explore your feelings
- Hearing about someone else’s story, decisions and experiences
- Having a place to vent or to just chat
