Dr Kash Purohit tells us all about his experience. He says:
“Filming started at Newark Antique Centre where we were welcomed by the BBC team and our antique expert, Catherine. We were the blue team and were given £300 to choose three items from various antiques dealers with two challenges set up by the presenter.
“One challenge was to buy a glass item and the other was to buy an item with a minimum cost of £75.
“We had one hour to complete the tasks and were continuously filmed. An hour wasn’t enough and we constantly rushing! Nevertheless, we managed to buy three items with no second to spare.
“Three weeks later we were called to for the live auction in Grantham where we found out if we made any profit on our items.
“Ayesha and I have decided to donate the profit to Weston Park Cancer Charity to help go towards the vital work they do for the people across our region.
“It was a joyful and brilliant experience with my daughter, and we were so pleased that we managed to make money.”
