Pop the kettle on, Time for Tea is back!

Our successful Time for Tea campaign is back for 2024. Join in on all the fun by hosting your very own Time for Tea party and bake a difference for cancer patients locally.

Our Time for Tea campaign is back and officially taking place in September this year, but with our downloadable fundraising kit you can host your event whenever you fancy.

Time for Tea is about getting together with your friends, family, colleagues or community for a good old-fashioned cuppa and some delicious treats to help raise vital funds for Weston Park Cancer Charity.

By supporting Weston Park Cancer Charity, you will be supporting us to care in every sense for our patients and their families through our services, advice, therapies and support. The funds raised will also support vital, pioneering research and clinical trials led by the exceptional medical experts at Weston Park Cancer Centre.

Time for Tea 2024 ambassador

We are pleased to have Rahul Mandal (winner of The Great British Bake Off, 2018) supporting Time for Tea 2024 as our official ambassador.

"It's a privilege to be supporting the return of Weston Park Cancer Charity's Time for Tea campaign!”
“As a South Yorkshire resident, I am aware of the fantastic work undertaken by staff at the hospitals locally and I hope my work with Weston Park Cancer Charity shines a light on the incredible support services they provide cancer patients in our region.”
“Let's bake some delicious cakes, have a cup of tea and get together to 'raise some dough' this September!"

Get involved

Schools, nurseries, offices, universities and cake lovers across our region are invited to host a Time for Tea event; from a tea party with friends, to a “Bake Off” event with colleagues.

Sam Heritage, Fundraising Manager at Weston Park Cancer Charity, said:

“It’s absolutely fantastic to be relaunching our Time for Tea campaign and I can’t wait to work with all our fantastic community fundraisers on their Time for Tea parties.”
“I would encourage as many local community groups, workplaces and schools to get involved this September and help us be there, for the one in two affected by cancer in our region. The money you raise will help patients and their families to live with and beyond cancer.”

The difference you can make by hosting a Time for Tea event…

£25 raised – will fund a research nurse for an hour working on clinical trials

£50 raised – would help keep our free transport service running for cancer patients getting to their hospital appointments.

£100 raised – can provide an emergency hardship grant for a cancer patient in financial difficulty.

To take part, simply let us know about your Time for Tea event. We’ll share our brand-new fundraising pack with you, to make sure your event is a ‘piece of cake’ to organise!
